Before yesterday, weighing my boys had slipped my mind for a while. When I weighed them yesterday both had changed by 2 oz! I was worried, so I went on alert and weighed them again today. Now I'm really worried, especially about Henry. Here are the concerning weights: Henry- 11/28/09 2lb 10oz 1/5/10 2lb 8oz 1/6/10 2lb 7oz Charlie Muffin- 10/21/09 2lb 8 oz 1/5/10 2lb 10oz 1/6/10 2lb 9oz. How concerning is this? Neither of them have any symptoms. Thank you!
EDIT: I have weighed them more recently than the first weight, but it was the same so I didn't write it down.

I've personally found that my pigs tend to vary in weight by an ounce or two in either direction from week to week.

It does depend a lot on the time of day you weigh them - you want it to be at the same or a similar time to make sure you're getting a good baseline for what's normal and what's not.

I wonder if there might be something up with your scale, though? It's a bit unusual for two pigs to drop the exact same amount of weight - just a thought.

At this point I'd just monitor it closely and if either loses more weight, or especially if you see a steady pattern of weight loss, get them in.

Thank you Paula! I'm using a pretty old kitchen scale.. I think I'll get a new one tomorrow.
