Cage Water Bottle Location and Food bowls questions for new GP Owners!

Hello Everyone,

We are leaving in a few minutes to pick our our GP's! The cage is all set up but I have a couple of questions to make sure I have everything right:

1. We have a 6" chloroplast border just like everyone has done. We attached the water bottle to the side of the cage but it looks like the water is too high because our GP's are so small right now. Should we just bring them home and see if it works? What should I do if I have to lower it?

2. Should we have two separate bowls for food pellets? We have one basket of hay but since you should limit the amount of pellets you feed them everyday we wanted to know if they will choose which bowl is theirs on their own.

My bonded piggies share a bowl and eat together. I'm not sure

Guinea pigs under 6 months can have unlimited pellets.

Wait until they get home and you can adjust water bottles and anything else to suit their size. Some pigs will share and some won't. Save your money until you see their personalities.
