After going through this site I realized my guinea pig was living in cramped conditions. I had bought my first guinea pig last week. Today is exactly one week with Sandra (that's her name). I had her living in one of those cheap bins from Walmart. I remember my friend had his in a bin years ago and the guinea pig seemed to thrive. After reading this site I realized she was way to big for the bin. I went to Target bought some grids and then went to Lowes and bought linoleum (couldn't find coroplast). I found this site last night and I bought everything today and made the cage.

She seems to be loving it. She actually has running space now. It's easily three times bigger than what she was living in before. I made the cage 2 x 3 grids. I have a lot of grids and linoleum left over so I think in the next week or two I will be making it bigger and maybe adding a second level to it. I ended up buying 48 square feet of linoleum.

I also think she's pregnant. At least now when her babies come out I can make a separate cage for the males. I had a lot of fun making the cage. The linoleum might not be as pretty as the coroplast but I think it will do for now.

Thanks again for the great site with great tips.
