Just tested it! suction is nice, But it does have its limits. Don't pick up the long stiff strands of hay or it will get clogged in the hose. It will pick up the small stuff and poops perfectly though.

So glad I came across this. I currently use a little hand held and it's ok but not that great. I think I'll buy this since I've heard so many good things. Thanks for sharing this!

I just emptied the box the other day-it was piled to the brim with poop. hay, pellets, and bird food. I had to laugh!

I just emptied mine today and it was jam packed, too!

@Levenn - when mine picks up those long pieces but they're too big to fit down the hose, I just pull them off and toss them in the kitchen.

There's no way my cage would look and smell so nice without my fave gadget.
