Purring?!?!

A few minutes ago as I was holding my little piggie... I heard him making a purring noise! Is he purring because he was happy? Was he even purring or making another noise that I thought was purring? Has this happened to anyone?

Purring, like a rumbling where their body vibrates is annoyance, or "Hey, that dosn't feel good! Stop!"

The good purring is just from the throat, the body does not vibrate, and it is hard to hear.

good Im glad he is happy! I just hope he dosent have a URI.... im dropping by petsmart tomorrow to buy him a few new things Does anyone know if it is okay to use harnesses on them?? I have never tried....

He wasnt vibrating... It was quite a faint sound so i think he was happy

Definetily NO harnesses. They can hurt them, and they easily get loose.

I know not to buy the cavy from petsmart... I got mine from a local rescue.... But is petsmarts products okay? like beds for guinea pigs and other things?

Try feed stores, and stores that don't sell animals.

By buying Petsmart products, you support them selling the animals.

That makes sense that you are supporting them selling the animals... I just feel so bad for the ones that they keep crammed in their friggin 10 gallon cages...
