Thanks papa. This is weird to me. My cat Lily 14 yo went fine. Had to get an external lump removed. She is a bull now lol. Hope Smokey does the same. The anesthesia scares the poop out of me. I want to be there. He is sitting next to me being a little muncher.

He's gonna be just fine. "Drunky pig" is totally normal after anesthetic. I used to call Sly my little drunken sailor after one of his dental procedures.

The biggest thing is if he eats on his own. If he's eating anything on his own, try not to worry too much. Obviously you should monitor him and I KNOW you will. It may take a day or two for the disorientation from the anesthetic to wear off fully.

I don't know if he had any sight left in that eye beforehand, but if he did you can expect some sort of disorientation for a little while from that as well as he gets used to it.

It's not that. It's the signs like he has a cold after being silent on the ride home. I only gave 2cc of critical care as he was diving at it. I have no tip on the shringe i use. Freaking me out.

He sounds like a hungry little guy, and he probably is. If you think he'll eat a carrot or some lettuce by all means give it a shot. Try the moistened pellets. He was silent on the ride home because he's stoned! If he can drink lots it'll help flush the anesthetic out of his system quicker.

Let him eat, and let him rest. He needs it and I think you do too.

You can give him critical care and not force him to eat with a syringe. Mix it a little thicker. Don't use as much water. You can pile it up into a little mound on a plate or even roll it into a ball. Sly used to love it that way. That way he can eat it at his own pace.

No, but I've never had a pig who had an eye removed, either. The eye socket is close to the nasal passages and I have no doubt that will have something to do with it.

There could very well be some inflammation in his nasal passages, maybe from the anesthesia or the surgery itself. As long as his breathing doesn't seem laboured, I think you just need to give him time.

He is eating, so he is hungry. Being disoriented and obviously off is normal after surgery.
