Before I built my cage, I would look at some (usually 2x3s without pigs in them,) and think, "Thats not all that big!" But boy was I wrong!

You bet...wouldn't have it any other way. I was talking to a lady yesterday who had just gotten a skinny pig and had never heard of C&C cages. By the time I stopped talking, she was going to return her store bought cage and make a bigger one today.

It was fun. I have to confess when my girls asked for piggies I wasn't crazy about the idea but now I'm more excited than they are.

It's funny as when you first go from a shop bought cage to a C&C, you think they're enormous and can't believe how much more space they give them. But once you see how much they love and use all that space, you just start thinking how awful the standard sized cages are, and feeling bad for pigs who live in them!

...and plotting how to make it bigger! Haha, you think it's huge, but you'll see! It's addicting.

I'm still eyeing my 3 level 2x4 wishing I could make it a 2x5 against my husbands wishes. Hmmmm, If I could only get my husband to move out. ONLY KIDDING!

I've had mine 2 different ways so far (2x6, then 4x6), going to make it a 3x5x2x7 l-shaped open range with upper levels after spring break (getting money then).. Wee! I can't wait!
Then I had one of mine 3 different ways. 3x3, 3x3x2x3, then the final 2x6... Going to add a 3x3 to it once I get my male neutered.

I have gradually made mine bigger and bigger, now my hubby thinks I'm obsessed!
I went grocery shopping this morning and 1/3 filled the trolley with veggies and honestly, not 1 were really for us,,, all bought with the piggers in mind! I guess I could put some spinach in something hehe...and I HATE corriander so hubby will know for sure that wasn't for us !!
My cage for 2 boys is 7by2 with 3levels and a 3 by 4 at the front seperate but accessible by a open grid and cut coro, which I put there to feed them in easily and less messy too. The hay is out there now too,, they would mess up the shavings so fast the other way!

I must admit, buying all these vegies I usually wouldn't, I'm eating healthier!

When I do my weekly shopping I use to walk over right to the yummies, now its the veggie section. My daughter would roll up her eyes at me. I could spend a good 10 minutes there searching all the greens seeing what I missed or what is new, whereas before I couldn't wait till I got out of that store. When I get home I have to smash all the veggies down tight so I can fit them in my veggie basket.
