So I just got a guinea pig from a co-worker. They had him for almost 2 years and knew he wasn't getting the attention he needed. The cage that they had him in is only about 3 square feet. I got him a guinea pig run that is 7 square feet, and always have him in there when I'm home. When I am at work I do put him in his cage. Can I leave him in the guinea pig run when I am not home? Are they known to escape from them? The sides are about a foot high. Also i do plan on getting another piggie so he has some company.
