Guiny's Medical Thread

Hi all sorry its off topic but our Guinea pig Guiny was recently dropped by accident and fractured his back leg. He eats fine and but has restricted movement. He is under painkiller medication recommended by the visit to the doctor. She did not help us with anything other than saying its a fracture and needs an X ray to say know more. They are charging 230$ just for an X ray. What are my options. Please help !!!! we live in Thousand Oaks CA !!!!!

@hsepur, please do not hijack a thread. Your pig's medical condition has nothing to do with the names of guinea pigs. This will be your pig's medical thread, but in the future, start a new thread rather than making an off-topic post.

Your only option is to have an x-ray done. You can call around and see if you can find a pig-savvy vet that will do it cheaper.

But you also need a vet fund for your pig. Medical care is just as much a part of responsible pet ownership as food, water and housing. The question is not "will my pig need vet care?" but "WHEN will my pig need vet care?"
