box fort(lots of pictures)

My order of bedding got here and they sent each bag in a seperate box. Such a waste so the guinea pigs had fun with them first.





Yes those are little pee tracks. I should have laid something down underneath the boxes.

The perfect height for jumping up on. I did have a pic of Rolo jumping to the very top but it seems to have disapeared somewhere between the camera and computer.

The only problem was catching everyone to return them to their cage. On another note I need to solve this insomnia. At least I'm productive with my time. Well, I consider that productive.

I think its a great idea for floor time! How long did it take you to make? Did you just bend it and cut holes?

Great Idea. I just got my carefresh bedding delivered in 3 large boxes. I think I will try to make a box fort also. Just have to figure out where I am going to put it.

My pigs love paper too. Whenever my husband cuts out a sewing pattern he gives the scraps to the pigs to play with. They love the noise it makes when they run through it.

I cut a hole in each side of each box and put 2 boxes end to end on the bottom and then set one on top. I think it took about a half an hour. I have another 3 boxes but my hand got tired of cutting and I wasn't sure they'd all fit in the kitchen anyway. It took about 5mins before they'd peed on the floor under the boxes so a towel or something is needed. I cut off a peed on flap and stacked the boxes in the closet for another day. Now everytime they hear cardboard they wheek a little. lol

I think the noise is what my girls love best about paper too.
