I wouldn't recommend it, you should trash them. The best treat is a little piece of fruit (Strawberry, apple, or banana sparingly because it can cause bloat) 1-2 times a week. Guinea pigs can't digest dairy products very well so I would think even one yogurt drop would upset their stomachs. Sorry!

I think swimming would be very stressful, and you should only give them baths if necessary 1-2 times a year, so putting them in the tub to exercise would dry their skin out. All i can say is big cage, and lots of floor time. 1 hour minimum. Try putting toys and hideys in, maybe they will start...

Do guinea pigs store food in there cheeks to 'eat at a later time'? I really don't think they do, but i'm just checking since there aren't any topics about it. Some person on yahoo answers knows a lot about guinea pigs, but they say they store food in their cheeks. Like hamsters.

I guess I could try to get hay in bulk for the litter box (We only get small bags), but who knows where we would put it. Once I used the litter box as a hay rack, and one of my pigs actually leaped up into it, and peed in it. I didn't know at first, but when I was cleaning everything it smelled...

Yesterday I changed my pigs' litter box and put in new carefresh. They went over to see it and started to eat the bedding! They just reached in and took a piece. They were eating about 3-4 pieces so I took it out. Today I went and bought aspen for their litter box; maybe the just liked to eat...

My girl Millie sheds like a golden retriever every time I pet her. My other abby doesn't shed as much, and Millie has rosettes like an abby but has shorter fur. I'm starting to think she's a mix of something, but she sure does shed a lot, all year around!

Millie is a teddy? I thought she was an abby too since she is younger than eevee and just hasn't had time to grow out her fur. Millie's fur doesn't feel wooly or anything, it feels like an abby's. That's interesting. And i can see how it would look like a wooly texture from the angle, but...
