Upper Levels third pig coming - should I enlarge the kitchen loft?

Thanks - so it becomes more of an L-shape? I was thinking the same thing at first, it would be simpler and take up less room... (wall space wise anyways) thank you!

Upper Levels third pig coming - should I enlarge the kitchen loft?

Hello- I have posted already about adopting a third piggie - she's coming this week - I'm very excited. This is my current cage: I plan to expand the bottom to a 2 x 5 but I would like to keep the kitchen area separate, as I currently have now a 1 x 2 loft kitchen. It works for the two piggies...

C&C New C&C cage for my girls!!!

I ordered a similar cage, probably from the same seller on ebay. Only difference is mine was 2 x 4 on the bottom. Really happy with it and it was super easy to set up, the instructions were great. You will be pleased. Here's what I did to the ramp since they were afraid to go near it: I added...

    C&C I tweeked the c and c again.

Smart! yes I've noticed that although I love my loft it does make it a lot hard to catch the girls! they have too many places to hide =)

Coroplast Coroplast sheet vs a Geo Metro car

What about folding it? I received mine in the mail, it was folded in half (cut and scored size for 2 x 4 ) and just opened it up, it was shipped from New York to Canada and no problems.

Ramps New C&C cage - help with how to get pigs up the ramp!

It came with the cage I bought on ebay but I've adapted it with the tunnel... it is a piece of coroplast reinforced underneath with dowels and then black coro strips on top. Can't take credit, it came with the cage!

Ramps New C&C cage - help with how to get pigs up the ramp!

Here's the new improved ramp - I put the tunnel I used for floor time before and attached with zip ties to the original ramp. Amazing what a difference the fleece and tunnel made! I have binder clipped the fleece to the coro on top but it's kind of freaking me out that they might chew at it and...

Ramps New C&C cage - help with how to get pigs up the ramp!

@boofp thanks - I read some other posts on here that said sides might help or even make it a bit tunnel-like until they get comfortable... yours looks so cosy. My next step is moving to fleece!

Ramps New C&C cage - help with how to get pigs up the ramp!

@jowasaurus Thanks for the advice on the hay rack - I've seen lots of good examples of others on here so I'll make one or use something else. Much appreciated. @pinky I see what you mean about an overlapping grid - hmmm I don't have an extra one but I'll see what I can figure out. Thanks!

Ramps New C&C cage - help with how to get pigs up the ramp!

Hi - I'm thrilled to have my new C&C cage up today and the piggies are settling in... I will post photos too, just have to get them off the camera! I have set up the kitchen on the second story (has a ramp) and they haven't figured it out yet (it's been about an hour). How long can I leave the...
