Love your cage! I'm saving up for new fleece or waiting for a big sale! So jealous of your cage tho! It looks awesome!

Okey dokey, here is Buddy and Snickers' humble abode. It's still definitely in the "designing stage" because I'm trying to determine where they poop the most (seems like it's in the hideys, and a bit by the hay rack). I really wish they didn't mind sleeping next to each other, but for now, boys will be boys and they each want their own tubes, tunnels, and hidey areas. I have another curtain on order to replace this pink and white thing I concocted. I just love hearing them zooming back and forth, and round and round in here!

I originally ordered materials for a 2x3 cage, but when I got my second piggie, I used extra grids to make a 2x5. Since my coro only fit 2x3, I improvised using a couple of extra coro sheets I'd bought at Home Depot, plus extra u-haul pads and a fleece blanket to fill in the remaining 2x2 area until the rest of my stuff arrives next week. The clashing fleece colors is messing with my OCD big time, but I'll live. LOL!

It's really hard to get a good pic of the cage since my place is so small, but I'll get a better one next week once all my things are in place.

Just finished my cage. Going to set up the hay rack but right now my piggy charles is loving his cage. He really loves that he can hide under his ramp.

Love all the cages everyone had made! Me and my boyfriends just finished ours, my boyfriend built it and I decorated it and did all the designing/sewing. It's a 2x4 with a 1x2 loft. I made two bedrooms in the back separated by a grid each bedroom has a fleece forest and a cuddle sack, it's my girls favorite part, I also made a fleece tunnel out of a bent grid that they love!

I'm fairly new to having guinea pigs. I've had my girls for 5 weeks now. They are great. I managed to get a c&c cage as I wanted the girls to be in a group and still have room to move. This is my latest cage design.

Finally finished my cages after multiple modifications. It's a 2x4 with a 1x2 kitchen for my 2 girls. Still working on some fleece tunnels but they girls love the extra space. The went from a large store bought cage (approx 2x2 usable size) to this and have been going mad ever since. I have since removed the cover over the ramp and they run up and down it no bother.

Here's the cage I built for my brand new piggies, Oatmeal and Grits. It's been a long time since I've worked with my hands or built anything, so this was exciting and rewarding. It took two days and a major backache! I'm using mattress pads with fleece. I've got 2 full cage changes plus one extra pad and one extra fleece that I may sew into some potty pads once I figure out where they're doing most of their peeing and pooing.

20150408_202133.jpg

Here's the hydration zone. I had the fleece forest on that random top grid there, but now it's just a spot for me to place the hut and things while I clean the cage.
20150408_202252.jpg

The ramp to the kitchen. I had to put hay down it so they would go up it! Once I expanded the fleece forest to 2 grids, they got along much better in there. They cuddled.

The kitchen. That hay rack gave me lots of problems. I ended up ripping a flap off the box some of the cage came in to line the back of it and it was long enough that it's tucked underneath the rack too, so it's easier to contain all the hay if i ever have to take it out. Hopefully I won't have to, because I also custom fit the mattress pad and the fleece to the kitchen, so there is a cutout around the hayrack and when i need to change it i can just lift the fabric out without having to fool with the rack. I went ahead and made a second "set" of fabric to go in there for when this set gets dirty. Thinking ahead!

So, here are a few shots of the cage. :)

I love the U shape idea! I bet that makes it a lot easier to clean :) I might steal this idea once we get moved to a bigger house.

Are those cages only temporary? A 2x2 and a 1x3 are very small.

I just switched to fleece/uhaul instead of the fleece/wood pellets that I had been using. I still have the wood pellets for the kitchen area since I hate all the hay dust getting on the fleece. So far I've been using a patchwork arrangement of fleece pads, because I haven't gotten around to making full cage liners yet.

My two girls are now in a 2x7 with 2x3 basement, a design I borrowed from Pigger123. (Thank you, Pigger123!!) It was previously a 2x6 but I wanted to give them more space. They are basically free-range now: the basement level has a fold-down front that I keep clipped up out of the way and they can come and go as they like. Outside the cage there is fleece for them to walk on and a 1x2-size hay box that you can just see at the bottom right of the pic. (That's my gerbil tank you can also just see at the bottom right.) I am going to experiment with a loft next and see how they like it.

Picked up a new hay rack...think it's going to work well. It's a small shower caddy I stumbled upon at Ross.

Also showing off my new fleece from kelliscraftsandmore on Etsy.

Finally got the girls a new cage! It's about 15 sqft. Their original cage was too small and supposed to be temporary, but then we had the rescue bun and he needed the bigger cage more. Also got a rabbit hidey box and flipped it over.. Celeste likes it for sure.

Just cleaned the cage :) It's a 2x3.5 with a 1x1 loft. I've also ordered them a fleece tunnel so they'll have more things to snuggle on

Just expanded from a 2x4 grid with a 1x2 kitchen off the side to a 2x5 with the 1x2 kitchen. I'm using a fleece and mattress pad bedding combo. This is Chika's and Tonka's home.
