OMG! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm jealous now because cookie had a good birth but momi didn't. I'm not mad, just jealous. good job cookie! I also subscribed to you on youtube. do you know if the babies are girls or boys or both? that would be cool if they were all girls. Awesome job cookie. there was something I forgot to say but I can't remember what it was. Oh yeah your daughter has THE CUTEST LAUGH EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is amazing! It is rare to be able to watch the birth. She really pushed that 2nd one out. One minute shes cleaning, and then all of a sudden WHOOM you see the second one pop out! lol They are so cute. I am glad that she had a successful delivery and that they are healthy.

Thank you! I am so sorry what happened to your babies and mommy piggy. I can't imagine what you are going through. I cannot tell what the sex is, but I am thinking boys. My next door neighbor is going to adopt them both if they are boys. She was the "Michelle" we were trying to get a hold of in the video. She wanted to come to the birth. I'm sad to take both babies away so early, but I am going to start looking to adopt Cookie a girl piggy for friendship. If anyone know someone here by LA County or Ventura County, I would love to adopt an abyssian female pup or a texel pup. I've already looked through the shelter online page, and I am not seeing anything like that.

Thanks for posting the video. I was absolutely transfixed throughout the entire 12:20 of it! What a wonderful way to teach young children about the birth process. It was obvious that you had prepared them for the event. Congratulations to Cookie for a job well done. :tearsofjo

Yes, we talk about birth often here. I actually was a licensed midwife in Texas before we moved here a year ago. So this was right up my alley. It's actually one of the best ways to show kids a birth due to being not bloody if you know what I mean. It was still very nerve wrecking because I know birth can take a dangerous turn at any moment. Thankfully no wrong turns.

That would be cute to have a texel. I used to have two. One died and I had to rehome the other. I didn't post about it on here yet. Because I was going through too much personal stuff. But I don't have any more. i'm going to move to utah on tuesday. and I'll wait in our new house to see what kind of guinea pigs we live around.

OMG! Just watched the video Watching her do somersaults trying to get that first baby out made me laugh!! Guinea pigs are amazing creatures! I can't imagine cleaning one baby up while still having contractions for a second one!! I'm glad to see mom and babies are alive and well!! CONGRATS! The babies are BEAUTIFUL!

Amazing video! If you decide to get a texel, keep in mind they require a lot more grooming than other guinea pigs. I have two and I find it hard to keep up with their grooming. I ended up giving them haircuts to manage their fur better. If they have fine hair, it's not so hard but one of mine has incredibly thick fur and it's even hard to cut. When I took her to the vet, she couldn't believe the amount of hair she has. She said that if it was longer, Locks of Love would probably love to have it to make a wig since it's so thick and pretty. All the vet techs were oohing an ahhing over her fur. She is beautiful but I don't think I'd ever get another texel.
