I just remodeled the girls' cage today. The bottom is 3x3 and the top is 1x3. I fixed the ramp so it isn't so steep and I cut a bathroom rug up so they can get traction. It definately took a lot of work, I hope the girls like it!
is that colorful thing on the top one of those toy things with the nut in the middle? If so I wouldnt give this to a pig, because guinea pigs shouldnt be eating anysort of nut or shell. I could be wrong, it just looks alot like something I saw at a petstore that had a "treat" for your pig in the middle, which was actually something they shouldnt be eating.
Oh, I didn't know about that. Yes it is one of those toys...they only chew on the wood a little and didn't seem to care about the nut so I took the it out of the toy already. Thanks for the heads up though, I didn't even think about it. No need to worry
Wow! I love your cage! The ramp is awesome, is it just coroplast with something for stability? I really like it, because the ramp promotes excersize because it's so long.... Lol. I made a cage similar to yours, but I'm going to redo it once I get more coroplast and I hope to make it similar to yours.
Thanks! Yeah its made of cloroplast with a blue bathroom rug cut up for traction. I ziptied it to the side of the cage and put a support under the corner which I also made out of cloroplast. Good luck with yours!
Its aspen bedding and I got it at Petsmart on sale for 8.00 but I think I am going to check around at some local feed stores.... I found one up the street from me so I'll have to see what they have.
