My Cage Design (sorry no pics)
Guinea Pig Custom Indoor Enclosure:
Materials:
1X 10mm thick, 1.7m long, 0.7m wide plywood base
2X 20mm thick, 1.7m long, 0.2m high plywood walls
2X 20mm thick, 0.66m long, 0.2m high plywood walls
2X 1.7m long, 0.22m high wire bars (3.8cm2 grid holes)
2X 0.66m long, 0.22m high wire bars (3.8cm2 grid holes)
1X 2.1m long, 1.1m wide fleece
2X 1.7m long velcro strip
2X 0.7m long velcro strip
White Paint
Tools:
Mini-Saw
Wood Glue
Hammer/Nails
Paintbrush
Sewing Machine/Thread

Cable Ties
Building Instructions:
Step 1 - Glue all 4 walls to the base
Step 2 - Nail the walls to the base, 1 nail every 10cm
Step 3 - Nail the corners of all 4 walls together, 1 nail every 10cm
Step 4 - Paint the wooden box
Step 5 - Cut a 20mm deep slit along the top length of all 4 walls
Step 6 - Squirt wood glue into the slits on the walls
Step 7 - insert the wire bars into the slits
Step 8 - Cable Tie the corners of the wire bars together, 1 cable tie every 10cm
Step 9 - Staple the rough velcro to the top of all 4 wooden walls
Step 10 - Sew the soft velcro to the underneath edges of the fleece
Setup Instructions:
Step 1 - Place down a large plastic bag
Step 2 - Place down the fleece making sure it covers the inner wood walls and velcro it in place
Step 3 - Add Accessories
Step 4 - Add Piggies
Cleaning Instructions:
Step 1 - Remove Piggies
Step 2 - Remove Accessories
Step 3 - Un-velcro the fleece, fold it up and take it outside to shake it off, then wash and dry it
Step 4 - Remove and replace the plastic bag if necessary
Step 5 - Setup the enclosure again (see Setup Instructions for details)
(Spot clean once a day, fully clean once every three days)
