I'm a brand new parent of a wonderful calico piggie Its only day 2 and I had him cuddling and purring away and hes very inquisitive. I'm also a parent of a wonderful bearded dragon named Lzzy.

I really hate to be "that jerk" that is the first one to bring up something bad but is that piggy living in a tank? If so you should move him into an actual cage. Not only are tanks far too small but the poor ventilation means piggies can get very sick fairly easily.

First of ALL welcome yes please take that piggie out of the tank! Piggies are herd animals and do better in same sex pairs as breeding is dangerous they should have hay 24/7 and cage size minimum is 7.5 sq ft I suggest taking a look at the C&C cages which can be a lot of fun because there's endless possibilities with them. Your piggie is very cute though

Good for you Ryan! You obviously have a strong affection for your pets and will do what is right. Afterall, you did decide to join this forum right? But it is true, the sooner you put Chester in a larger cage where circulation is good, the better. Closed spaces like plastic tubs and tanks can cause some medical issues because of the poor circulation.

BTW, how old is Lizzie! She is quite impressive!

I couldnt stand to keep my little guy in that tank any longer so I took what I was already planning on using as the flooring and just used some shelving Im not using as a barrier until I can buy some wire cubes this week. He sure livened up the minute I put him in there Hopefully next week I can get him a playmate

Sorry..Lzzy the beardie is actually a little less than 2. I bought her from Petco when she was still a baby so I'm guessing shes more like 1 or 1 1/2
