Well about 8 weeks ago my female guinea pig gave birth to 6 little babies. Whe thought she was a boy so was housed with out male piggy. About 6-5 weeks into her pregnancy we knew she was pregnant so seperated her from out male. Everything went well. The boys we seperated at three weeks and four have already found forever homes. However during laptime her belly fells kind of bigger/rounder. I do not know what to think now. She did not come in contact with any males!

Well, it certainly wasn't an "immaculate conception" so if she IS pregnant, she came in contact with a male pig. However, just being bigger/rounder in the middle doesn't necessarily mean pregnancy.

Well, if she didn't come in contact with any males, she's not pregnant. If she's pregnant, she definitely came in contact with a male.

Just weigh her regularly and keep a record of the weights. You won't be able to tell anything about a pregnancy until she's about six weeks along.

She can't become pregnant because the females and males have play time in the same place (at different times) right?

Males need to have physical contact with females in order for them to become pregnant.

Thanks, I have been avoiding them even thouching the same used fleece because of this . -.-

Well if no male contact and she continues to grow and it looks like lumps it could be ovarian cysts. Keep an eye on her as others posted.

Okay. I will keep a close eye on her and updating you.

She's probably just regaining the weight she lost taking care of six babies!

Post a picture please that will help

is she pregnant again!!
This is her and her belly. It may be hard to tell sice her hair stivks out at her belly

Pictures don't help until the very late stages of pregnancy, and then not much with a pig with hair that long.

It's as simple as this -- if she hasn't been with a male since before she gave birth, as in, they haven't been together in the same area and haven't mated, she's not pregnant. If she has been with a male AT ALL since the birth, she may be. It literally takes seconds for them to mate, and if you blinked your eyes, you may have missed it.

Your best bet is to weigh her daily and record the weights. The next best thing is to put your hands along her flanks and see if you can feel any babies kicking. The third thing is to watch her shape -- if she's pregnant, she'll get pear-shaped toward the end.

She is not pregnant them. Thanks for replying

she looks good for a lady who just popped out six babbas !!!! well done her

Thanks scruffytufty, at least there someone who is kind around here!:)

I hope she isn't for her sake. She is very pretty! Good luck and please keep us updated :)

Wow she sure is cute. My piggie had back to back pregnancies because I was ignorant to the fact that the male had to be seperated right away. She had two the first time and one stillborn. The second pregnancy she also had two with one stillborn. Now we have four new babies and dad is in another cage with his son. After we have the babies sexed we are going to seperate them accordingly. Anyway I love the color of your pig.
