I'm running out of oxbow adult pellets soon so I am planning to buy pellets. Do you guys know if Sun Seed Vita Prima Guinea Pig Food is a good choice?

From what I can see, if you take out everything coloured other than the pellets that LOOK like Oxbow, you might get away with it short term.

If getting Oxbow pellets again is an option, then stick with them. We only recommend KMS or Oxbow pellets.

No, it's lousy guinea pig food. You want a plain timothy hay pellet -- no seeds/nuts/colored bits. Guinea pigs have tiny throats, and can easily get choked on nuts and seeds. The colored stuff is useless.

As @Guinea Pig Papa said, we only recommend KMS or Oxbow.

Yeah I did thought the dry fruits and colored bits weren't that good for guinea pigs but people gave alot of good reviews about those pellets. I think I'll just stick with oxbow.

I used to use Vita Smart. I don't anymore.

Kaytee pellets are higher in calcium than Oxbow, and additionally, use limestone as a calcium source. That's been anecdotally linked to bladder stones. I'd stick with Oxbow or KMS over Kaytee, any day.
