I know pigs wheek when they are hungry but he wheeks whenever i pick him up or set him down, when hes running free, etc. He has pellets, hay, water, treats, and things to chew on in his house. He never stops eating the hay and treats but I don't think i've seen him eat his pellets even once. We have had him for four days.. should I try a different food? Is it normal for him to wheek all the time?

I thought he may have had URI because his eye had some drainage and was partially closed but that went away after the first night and has been fine since.

He's probably lonely. Guinea pigs are herd animals, and they're much happier with a buddy of their own kind.

I'm thinking about getting another. I believe the one I have is a male. Do they do good with other males?
