Sexing Is my guinea pig male or female?? *photos for assistance*

I adopted a guinea pig named Peanut a while ago and always thought she was a girl, but we finally decided to get a new one to join her since guinea pigs are not supposed to be alone. I've done a ton of research and know about introducing them, but I wanted to be sure her sex. I'm at a loss. The vet can't see us until next Monday.

I've looked at so many photos and really can't tell if she is a female with a "pimple" or if she is a male. Can anyone please help us?

I hope that this isn't bad, and I honestly felt so bad doing this but we need to know before we buy another.

I know nothing about the sex of guinea pigs but here's my male guinea pigs genetalia hope that helps

I'd have to say girl try holing her upside down with belly up and push on the belly slightly above its genitals

@Spartan021, I hope you meant to put her on her back, and not to hold her upside down. There's never any need to turn a pig upside down.

@peanutandoreo, have you looked at the pictures at https://www.cavyspirit.com/sexing.htm? And tried to extrude a penis?

Definitely female.

Edited to add: these are actually really good photos, especially the last one, because you've parted the genitals slightly and you can clearly see the inner labia and the vulva, etc.

It's easiest to tell (I find anyway) when the genitals are parted slightly.

I agree, she's female. And don't feel bad about making sure you've sexed the piggie before getting anoypther. That is very smart!
