Wood Pellets/Chips Deciding to switch to wood pellets! need help on how much to purchase.

I just found out there is a wood pellet manufacturer super close to where I live that specializes in wood pellets for pet bedding!!! I'm stocked and want to switch to the pellets ASAP, but I need some help from all you wood pellet veterans on how much I should purchase!

My cages is 3x4 c&c with a 1x6 L shape top level. The place I would be buying these pellets from sells them in 1.5 cubic foot bags. How many bags would be a good amount to start with?

I wish I could help, if you were going by weight, I would do a minimum of 2 forty pound bags, 3 would be best though.
