Forages Plantain, regular grass, clover, purple violet, dandelions - safe lawn 4 GPs run?

Ya, so the weather up here (near Toronto, ON, Canada) is finally very inviting to put my Cocoa, then later my Rusty & Jerome out in a grid-based enclosure, in a semi-shade spot under a tree.

Sadly, our lawn is a mix of: regular grass; clover; dandelions; plantain; purple violet; and perhaps additional very small-leafed weeds

safe lawn 4 GPs run? Or should I put something like a shower curtain down?

ok, dandelions, I just "harvested some, washed them carefully, and soaked them in cold water: the leaves seemed to be everyone's favourite, Rusty & Jerome didn't favour the stems or roots, Cocoa loved the flowers, & ate everything put in front of her, she's a hearty eater!

one down, four to go... I'm gonna go out on a limb for plain grass & clover being ok, so I guess now I just need to know if plantain or purple violet are toxic for our Wheekers
