So I was holding one of my pigs and noticed a thinning spot of fur on his back. Not bald, but thinning. It looks like the hairs were bitten off while trying to get an itch.
Upon closer inspection, there were these extremely tiny brown crawling worms at the base of his fur! They looked like miniaturized centipedes. They even moved like centipedes. They're so tiny that I cannot get it on my phone's camera.
This piggies skin is black so it's hard to tell, but the skin looked fine. No wounds. There was just a bit of dandruff.
I changed my clothes and scrubbed my hands and arms down. I have no idea if this is a threat to humans.
I have never dealt with any sort of parasite before and need some help. The parasite pages on Guinea Lynx don't seem to have these.
