How big is the cage you have them in? I looked back and didn't see if you mentioned that.

8 square feet. That's all I have room for at the moment. Matisse will be happy enjoying a quiet spot and Shelby just runs over from the other side and starts in.

They have been back together for a week with no divider. The divider was up when they were sick and had different food needs. Now, when I first had them the divider was up but the ramp was down so they could get from side to side and I didn't notice as much a problem then.

The size might be part of the problem which is why I asked. Males in particular tend to be territorial and need more space to themselves than females. Not enough space can lead to the squabbles you are talking about. Can you put them each into their own 2X3 until you can make room for a bigger cage for both (at least a 2X4).

Your cage size is probably mostly the problem. You've got two boars in a cage about the size recommended for one pig alone, and the suggestion is it that bigger is better. I'd either put them in a bigger cage or separate them until you do have one that's big enough.

K. This will take some thinking then cuz the only spot I have in my room for a bigger cage is right in front of my windows. Too drafty.

No unfortunately I had to move back in with my mother and the only other room that is "mine" gets way too hot during the day. I know how I can have them in my room with a bigger cage I'm just trying to visualize where other things would go lol.

Right now the cage is at the foot of my bed on top of a couple large storage baskets from Target... I'm thinking I could put the storage baskets on the wall under my windows and put the dog crates on top of them (small dogs, crated at night and when I'm gone so they should be fine)... Then I'd have the whole length of the foot of my bed for a cage...

could you possibly make something with a top that can hold the guinea pigs and then up under it you could put other things in your room?

That sounds like a great plan! How big of a cage would you be able to build along your bed?

I think I have that part figured out now... But I'm actually wondering if there's a way I can keep my Midwest Habitat, and add a C&C to it...

Hmm, it's a full size bed so 4.5 feet, and I could come out 2 feet wide without having to move my clothes hamper

4.5 ft? Most full size beds are longer than the average person.

The width of a full/double bed is 54", I could go a tad past that on either side.

It wouldn't be considered a C&C cage. It doesn't use grids which would be the "cubes" part of the C&C. It's also slightly smaller than a C&C and not versatile like using the grids.

Yeah it's gonna be a problem adding onto it unless I got another Midwest... But I will figure something out... Called mom just now for the check in and she said when she was petting Matisse, Shelby started rumblestrutting at her! He's just started his adolescent period, seems like I've got a jealous little bully on my hands.
