Adopting Look what my husband brought home!

Wow! He has some of the most beautiful coloring I've ever seen. He's so handsome, he needs a Spanish name!

He is adorable! And what a good husband too! He looks like a silkie to me. (I love silkies! I have 3 of them.)
Do you know how he was treated? How they fed him etc? I had a friend who had a GP for his daughter. Never fed him hay or knew anything about what to feed. In a petstore cage.

At least now he is in a good home. You should guarantine him for 3 weeks before you introduce him to your guys.
Go slow with him. Let him get used to you and his new surroundings. Give him hay and veggies and see how he likes them.

From what I gather he wasn't treated badly. The mom has been caring for him since the daughter went to college and she seems to know exactly what water bottle he preferred but she didn't hold him much. He came with a pet store cage and is in it right now, it's almost midnight, way too late to be building a cage! He came with alfalfa hay and just plan pellets which I'm sure are alfalfa based. He doesn't seem under fed to me just so small. Like he's petite. I threw out the alfalfa hay and filled his bin with some timothy, and gave him some lettuce to settle him down. I'll find out more about him and his personallity tomorrow, it's just so late! That's what happens when you're self employed you bring home guinea pigs at 11:30 for your crazy wife! lol

Congratulations! He's so pretty! I don't envy the long hair care, but he looks like a superstar.
I hope he gets along with your guys and is a healthy, hapi critter.

Names that came to mind were Archie and Frankie, I was thinking of like a long haired male model name or something. This pig is soo cute, good luck with him

He is simply gorgeous!! How about chocolate, midnight, cinnamon, Haley (like the comet), Freud, Einstein.

Chewbacca made me smile when I read that. You could even call him Chewy or Chewie which I'm sure he will be. He has that sleek look, like race horse so I also thought that Seabiscuit would be fitting for him. His coloring reminds me of Scotland. McIntosh or MacIntosh might be cute for him. He's also reddish like an apple. You could call him Mac.

Chewy is a cute name but he's so nervous! Not exactly the kind of personality that would take down the Empire. I was thinking he needed a regal name like Sir. Phillip. Archie might work. My other two are Eddy Pig and Ben. he seems just as skittery this morning as last night. Jumpy little guy! I will keep working on him he might just not have been handled that much.

What about Sir Lionel? Because he kinda looks like a lion too with all fur sticking out around his head! lol
