When my mum went to give the guinea pigs she saw a massive lump and called me. When I looked I originally thought it was his fur standing up. But I went to touch it and it was a massive lump, I checked the other side and it didn't. It's located under his mouth and above his foot. But I don't know what to do! The vet isn't an option today but I can definitely try tomorrow. We've done nothing out of the ordinary at any time. I'll include a photo as soon as I manage to get one.
Thanks in advance.

yes you do need to go to *an exotic* vet
how big is massive? The size of a pimple, pea, marble, brusselsprout?
is the lump squishy?
does it hurt him when you touch the lump?
If you part his fur there does the skin underneath seem discolored?
it may be an abscess, which the vet might drain (and you would have to flush it to daily with salt water) or he might give you an antibiotic for it.

Massive as in the size on the tip of a thumb and no it's not squishy and he doesn't seem to mind when I touch it

@bpatters
Should I separate him from my other Guinea pig

I would, at least until you know if it's CL. If it is, leave them separated until he's been on an antibiotic long enough to get the infection under control. If it's not, then you can put them back together.

Get an exotic vet as soon as possible

My dad's taking him today

My dad took him to the vet on Tuesday as Sunday and Monday were booked. They cut the fur there and turns out it was a wound. They gave him a syrup to drink for 7 days.

Did you take him to an exotic vet? Did they lance it and clean it out? What did they prescribe?

Antibiotics don't usually work for guinea pig abscesses unless the abscesses are lanced and drained. Guinea pig pus is very thick and cheesy, and the antibiotics just can't get through to treat it.

Ditto @pinky about the exotic vet. Dog and cat vets are useless, and if your vet didn't lance/drain that abscess, so is he.

Yes it was an exotic vet, I'm not sure what they did cos I was at school and haven't had time to ask him. I'll tell you asap
