Impaction How "thorough" do I need to be when clearing fecal impaction?

Hey all,

As you can read in my other thread, one of my boars has become impacted. I've been doing twice-daily routines to clear his anal sack and I'm wondering exactly how "thorough" I need to be when clearing it each time?

Usually there's a solid balled up mass a little smaller than a marble that I need to force out, but the further up I go in there the more it looks like regular pellets "waiting their turn", so to speak. Granted, some of these pellets look like they're next to each other and will later form an impaction, but I'm wondering if I'm being too aggressive in removing them and if I should give Spiderpig a "chance" to push it out himself or if I should just completely clear his colon each time I do this.

Also, I assume it's normal that clearing the impaction will cause him to pee a little.

Thanks!
