How old is he? And what are you feeding him? How much of each thing?

What other illnesses/treatments has he had?

Hi,
He is about a year old.. I rescued him and no one is sure.
He is on guinea pig nuggets.. he has dried grass forage about a hand ful each
He has a carrot a day and has a chunk of cucumber. . He has fresh grass and hay daily. . He is offered apple but doesnt really eat it.
He has had bladder crystals, inflammation of bladder and he was on antibiotics and anti inflammatatries. And then pain killer injection. . He seems to be unwell then has a trip to the vets and is given same thing each time fine fod a while then back to the vets.. this is a monthly occurance..
Please help
Thanks

Are you taking him to an exotic vet, or just to a dog-and-cat vet?

Hi,
Ok thanks they do have pepper but dont eat It so we only give it him every so often. He goes to the normal cat and dog vets, because when he goes down hill its rapid. I will and find an exotic vet for him.
Thanks

You're wasting your money and your time and endangering your pig's health by going to a dog-and-cat vet. They get very little education in treating exotic pets, and what they get covers everything from gerbils to giraffes.

According to your statement, he keeps going to the vet and keeps getting sick. Isn't that reason enough to look for a better vet?
