Over the past 3 weeks or so, I've been looking into upgrading my cage. I'm VERY interested in doing a C&C cage for my 2 girls-thanks to looking at and being inspired by all of the pics on this site.
So far I haven't been able to find appropriate grids anywhere. I looked at WalMart, KMart, Staples, and Ollies. I don't live close to a Target or I'd go there. While I was at KMart I found something similar to the cubes posted on this site, but they had a mesh grid on them, and I didn't know if that would still work. (I found them in a corner of the store and on clearance-almost walked right by them.) It also doesn't look like they have connectors but I won't know that until I get it home and start to assemble. And if they don't have connectors will zip ties work?
Would this still be OK? I'm a little worried about piggie toes getting stuck and if it will still have adequate (sp?) ventilation. It's going to be an open cage-maybe a 2 level.
