Today my sister and I noticed something funky with our guinea Athena.
Usually when she talks she is very high pitched, to the point where we always thought something was wrong, although that was just her normal voice. Lately, however, after another sow in her cage had 3 babies, she has started to talk very low and sounds like static, kind of like the way the babies talk?
Is it normal for guinea pigs to change their talking noises like this? She has never been the low static that she is now, it kind of sounds like popping and rubbed leather mixed together. It isn't illness as we checked her over and she is super healthy.
