So I took the top of Fern's pet store cage and put it on a big clover patch.
She nibbled here and there on some clover, and hopped around her cage, squeaked a lot. I am not sure if that means she liked it, or if she was upset. I think it might have been to cold outside, it is 68 degrees Ferinheit today.
Is there anything I can do differently, and how long should I let her be outside? (I stay out with her of course)

Sixty-eight degrees should be fine for Fern, and using the top of her pet store cage outside is a good idea since you're staying out there with her. But be sure the grass isn't treated with any pesticides.

The only thing you have to worry about is her overeating fresh grass (gradually lengthen her exposure to it), or getting overheated herself. If it's warm out, put her in the shade. If it's cool out, let her sit in the sun for a while, but watch her carefully.

Thanks! I asked my complex before putting her out if they spray and they don't.
