General Sizes and breeds?

Are certain breeds of guinea pigs bigger than others? Also are there particular personality traits affiliated with each breed? I would assume that each pig is different, regardless of its breed, but perhaps I'm wrong.

My teddy is significantly smaller than my abyssinian. The teddy is approximately 2.5 pounds and my abyssinian is about 3 pounds. I was wondering if it was related to their breed. I suspect the size has more to do with their personalities and eating habits because my big guy is really quite the PIG! He squeaks non-stop for food even if he's just been fed. He's a real eater.

All breeds of guinea pigs are same-sized, except the Texel, which is a little smaller than the rest. There is no difference in behavior between pigs.

Your piggies sound cute But the only difference between breeds is appearance.
