If they're three weeks old you need to separate today. Watch the video @Soecara linked, and be aware that you may have to press a little firmer and prod around a little more than you would expect to need to to extrude the penis.

agreed with princess piggie. Separate today until you are for sure they are all girls!! I had to take my male baby out at 2.5 weeks as he was rumbling and mounting. You don't know for sure when they stop shooting blanks and you don't want mommie prego again. Look at videos and such. You will have to press a little on the sides. I know its hard but you want to be for sure. Can you see or feel any little testicles? My little guy had some by 3 weeks as well, some don't.

Good luck :)

@daisy1cow, we DO know when they stop "shooting blanks," and it's well after 2.5 weeks. The 21 day mark actually has a little fudge factor in it, as the earliest documented impregnation by a male is at about 3.5 weeks. There's no point in moving the time up -- if you do that, pretty soon people will be recommending taking baby males away from sow the minute they're born.

thanks , omg the babies cry so much when i take them from mum, just for patting, i sit and hold one for a while away from mum, and the whole time it cries..i bought the mum from a pet shop, she was tiny they told me 8weeks, then she got really fat!
then she had 3 babies! ill try to get better pics, i have looked at many pics of boy and girl bits, its just sooo hard...they are all actually still drinking millk from mum, is this right at 3 weeks?

Yes, they'll still be drinking milk at three weeks, but you've GOT to separate any boysl At the very least, turn them all over and compare the pertinent parts and group them that way. Keep the boys away from mom.

I am confident the first two are for sure girls, the third one I'm about 80% sure is also a girl. Even if you can't get a penis to pop out you should be able to feel a firm ridge under the skin where the penis sits.

The first two are girls but it's kind of hard to tell in the last photo. If they all look the same as each other, then they're all girls.

The chances a guinea pig birthing pups who are all the same gender decreases with litter size. At 3 pups I believe the statistical likely hood is 25% that they will be all the same gender. That translates into a 12.5% chance of three girls and a 12.5% chance of three boys. So overall it is much more likely then one would expect.

Edit to add: Of course in practice statistics tend to be off unless you look at the general applicable population as a whole.

So all three babies turned out to be girls, soo happy we ate keeping all of them, and me and the kids picked out one each of the babies, to care for, my used to be the biggest squeller when I took it out for cuddle time, but I just kept persisting, and now she comes over when I go to cage and call.
