Flagged. Horrible cage :(.

You beat me to the post! LOL

Ugh. Disgusting. The kitten on the far left even has his paw stuck through the wire floor. :grumpy: Poor babies, they look so scared. Obviously I flagged!

How do you flag? I don't use craigslist very often and I don't see a "flag" option (maybe I'm just not looking in the right spot). This also go my looking around my area... does this look like a breeder to you? (no pictures, but the way it is worded worries me... especially since they r willing to sell the one female with the 3 males) (broken link removed)

nvm... found the flag thing. flagged the bunnies. does anyone else thing i should flag the guineas? if it were an accidental pregnancy and they were looking for homes for babies, i would feel bad for flagging it, but it just doesn't feel like that to me

I flagged as well. Alli, I am not sure what vibe I am getting off that post. They may have just had an accidental pregnancy and are just in need of getting rid of all three. I don't know for sure.

well and it bothers me that they r 6 weeks old and they r willing to sell them together. if they r housed together right now the female is probably already pregnant...

I sent a response... we will see how they respond. I tried to be as polite as possible while still addressing my concerns.

"I know this isn't really any of my business since I am not buying the guinea pigs... but males can reproduce as early as 3 weeks, and females starting at 4 weeks. The fact that they are from the same litter, doesn't matter. If the boys are not separated from the girl they need to be (she is probably already pregnant if they are housed together) and probably should not be sold together. Pregnancy and child birth are very dangerous for guineas so I hope you separate the genders and keep a close eye on the female to see if she is pregnant.

Again, I know it isn't any of my business, but I would hate for anything bad to happy to these babies. Thank you for your time."

It could be an accidental pregnancy, especially since they didn't know enough to separate the babies, which a breeder would (hopefully) know. However, their use of the term "crested" made me wonder because you'd need to know a bit about pig breeds or you'd probably refer to it as a big cowlick or something else.

Like I said... I sent a response. Hopefully I will hear something back that will enlighten the situation a little. I tried to be polite because if it is an accidental pregnancy they might not know what they are doing. If they are a breeder, they might not care :(

Alli, I flagged it. Either way whether it was an accidental pregnancy or not, you are prohibited to sale animals on craigslist in the pet section.

Still there despite the flagging. Grrrrr.
