Grids Does anyone know how thick the grids are, to cut?

I was thinking to try to cut my grids to make a loft so I would only need to buy the coro and the ramp. Would this be able to cut the grids? Stanley MaxSteel 14-563 9-7/8-Inch Straight Cut Aviation Snip - Amazon.com shows cuts 188ga 1.2mm rolled steel or 23ga .7mm stainless.

That's pretty much what my hubby used to cut ours, looked like hard work but he did it LOL

I think you need bolt cutters.

I used regular wire snipers for the inner smaller wire and then a hack saw to score the thick outer wire followed by bending until it broke. I cut 18 girds this way. It was not much work.
