Rabbits - A question about scab on rabbits head?

My rabbit, Patrick, has something wierd on his head, I think its a scab but im not sure. I noticed last night, its black and red and its in the middle of his head. I tryed to take a picture but he wouldn't stop moving. I am afraid to pull on it or anything because it might hurt him. I know this is a guinea pig fourm but I was hoping someone would now a little bit about rabbits as well. The only picture I could get was this one, you can see his hair is misplaced. He is going to the vet for a regular check up on April 6th, should I just not doing anything until then or is there anything I can do? thanks in advance!

Your photo isn't working for me.

You can use a warm wet washcloth and see if you can loosen it. Is it swollen around the area? Raised?
