I have this litterbox for hay for my wheekers. It suddenly occurred to me that maybe I could plant a litter box with grass, like an indoor lawn for them. Their droppings would self-fertilize it and i could have 2 or 3 of these to rotate so when one gets short, we can move on to the next and...

We use both floors equally. They get lots of interaction. Of the 3, only RC seems to be really interested in people, Gobo and Wally wheek their heads off for food, but don't enjoy being touched at all. It's too bad because Gobo has lonnng hair and needs regular grooming, which he does not enjoy.

Definitely teeth chattering. I think it was because they were in a small box for travel and there was only one hidey place. The notches are old, and they haven't fought since.

I went and got my two new guys, the lady says they are like brothers, but on the way home they were fighting, and making this weird rattling noise. I checked and they didn't seem to be hurt when we got home, but one guy has lots of notches in his ear. Is this normal for them? My boys never...

I think a 9 year old can take care of guinea pigs, provided you can supervise, remind, and help when needed. My 10 year old cares for ours with the help of my 6 year old.

Thank you Kelsie. I have decided to find a friend for Gobo. In fact my cousin has some friends who are rehoming their pair of boys! I'm hoping it works out and we get to bring them home. I have seen pics, they are cute and short-haired, which I prefer after 2 long haired pigs lol!

My Wheekers are 3.5 and 4 months old now-so still growing? When they stand on their hind legs, they can just nibble the top of their cage, which is 14“ high! I think they have doubled in size since we got them at the end of april!

My Wheekers do that too. I hate when they go under the fleece because poop goes everywhere! Today I am trying those bulldog clips, they are for office use but seem pretty strong. Hopefully it works. Gobo is a little annoyed that he cant' get the fleece down lol
