I feel that patience is very important when owning pets, it really depends on the person like others on here have said. Guinea pigs can take months to warm up to their owners and it is important to be patient with them, I don't think age matters at all because everyone is different.:)

I have had my guinea pig for a little over a month now and he still chatters his teeth at me sometimes, but after a while he settles down. I always make sure that he has plenty of things to eat when I hold him too which helps a lot! :)
