    Vegetables Introducing New Veggies

When I read this I totally seen myself! :) When we take a trip and someone else is in charge their salads are premade in baggies and marked lol OK back on topic here, finding what your babies like can be tricky but then again not really. I would omit the Romaine lettuce and go with a another...

Fleece 3rd attempt at fleece.. Failing again... Someone tell me what I'm doing wrong please

I typically get my bedding pellets from Tractor Supply. There are times they do smell a little strong but I just pour them into a large plastic container and let them air out a few days before I do a change out. My lower portion is incontinence pads and fleece. I think when I'm off my on call...

Diet New Hay: I think I messed up.....

Yes I just talked to my husband who was home today and I guess they haven't really touched their hay today. So guess they only want Timothy. Needless to say I have their hay on order. He said it looks like they are nibbled but usually they will have hay all over the kitchen area and eat like...

Diet New Hay: I think I messed up.....

@Soecara will guinea pigs eventually eat hay if they don't like it because they need it or will the hunger strike against it?

Diet New Hay: I think I messed up.....

Ok so being in the south our usual available hay is coastal. Being in the equine business this is what has always been available to us. We would use small quantities of alfalfa in the winter and we were showing horses more. We didn't keep it much in the summer due to spoilage because of the...

Diet New Hay: I think I messed up.....

I think they are going to FLAT OUT refuse to eat this hay so I have gone on my farmer's market page and what kind of hays are available locally. We will see. So frustrating and I'm kicking myself for the change but I really had no choice in the matter when I saw the quality.

Diet New Hay: I think I messed up.....

My boys have been eating Timothy since we got them but when I recently went to get a new bale, the hay was full of trash, moldy, dusty and just plain gross. I ordered Orchard grass to give them something new and now they won't eat it. Does it take a little for them to get use to a new hay?

Towels Destructive pig - what to do?

My lower level is incontinence pads and fleece over coroplast. My fleece is held in place with binder clips so they can not burrow under them. TBH, towels and newspaper are not very good bedding as they do not wick away the moisture properly in the cage.

Introductions Are my guinea pigs fighting, mating or playing?

I will tell you right off the bat your cage is not big enough for two GPs. That needs to change ASAP. Did you follow proper introductions or did you just toss them in together? You also need to check the sex of both of your GPs to make sure you do not have a male and female housed together...

Sexing How do you trust the sex of a pig when adopting (not from a breeder/store)?

I would have had to find a new vet! We just recently went to look at a "male" on CL I was thinking of adopting. I got there with my daughter, asked all kinds of questions and then went to sex the pig. Well lo and behold said "male" was a female. Needless to say we didn't adopt because I since...
