Wow, it looks like I'm the youngest one here. I'm only twelve, but according to my family, I'm pretty mature for my age. I'm the main and only caretaker. My parents don't want anything to do with them, haha.

Well, my daughter is getting ready to turn 10 in a couple of days, and we've had Squeaky since April '14. I'm the one who posts on here, and let's just say I'm not the oldest, but I'm not a college or grad student...LOL!

I was in my 20s when I got introduced to GPigs. We were keeping them in a store bought cage + free run area with cardboard walls. After a while, I got involved in some kind of online Gpig group (can remember the name of it) and someone posted how to make "grid" cage (now it's called C&C!!) so my husband and I built our first c&c - oh my, it was 15-16 years ago....I remember sending him to the sign store in some kind of industrial area to get a big sheet of coroplast....but there was no fleece bedding then. Oxbow was the only major online bulk hay provider (afaik) back then. We had 2 pigs and they passed away and I did not get any more pigs after that... I never felt I was ready to get more pigs after them. Well, now I'm in my 40s and back with pigs again. 2 girls. Things are different now. Many more options for supplies/food and many NEW great stuff for pigs (fleece bedding, I can't say enough!)...and much more info online. My daughter was a little girl then now she is 21. I'm not the oldest in this forum ;-) but I'm old enough to say "when I was your age, there was no fleece bedding!!!!!"

I'm 31 and most people do assume that since guinea pigs are a 'kids pet' that they are my kids' pets. The kids do help out with them, but my husband is the one who actually got them and I'm the main caregiver

I'm 32 and we got one for my daughter and one for me. We both love them but I take care for them. She only 7 (close to 8) but GPiggies need a lot of care so I prefer to do it anyways. I also spend more time with them and everything They're my babies!
