Chat My vets always tell me what a good owner I am...

I've used 2 different vets and they always make sure to tell me how I take good care of my pigs. Our first vet always told me I always do the right thing for them. At our last visit, our new(ish) vet and the tech talked about how lucky my pigs were to have me. It always makes me think because I know that so many people don't think pets like gpigs deserve vet care or just don't care about them.

Our vet tells us the same thing. When Leo was in a few months ago after having mysteriously broken one of his lower incisors, our vet had a new vet tech with him along with his regular one. They both told the new girl that our pigs will almost certainly be the best looked after pigs she will ever see. And yet...... I always feel like I can do more. I always feel like I'm missing something.

And of course I always wonder because no matter what I did, I couldn't save Punkin or Scooter. I eventually came to accept that Pooper had simply lived out his lifespan. And that Sly had a wonderful life that was extended almost two full years due to his dental work. But Punkin and Scooter still weigh very heavily on my mind. And I believe they always will.
