After a successful month with a 1.5 x 2 hay area for the piggies, using Megazorb as bedding, I decided to extend this area, making it a full 2 x 3. So far, so good!
The connectors came with the pack of grids. I think you can buy them separately - go to the forum, and search for 'connectors' - you should find your answer there!
Awww, those piggies look so happy! Can you tell me what you did with those hay racks? It looks like bent grids with hay stuffed in---great idea. My boys knock their store-bought hay rack to the floor *every* day.
Also, can you tell me about this Megazorb bedding [i.e. material and price compared to Carefresh]?
I really appreciate it - I see definite inspiration in this photo! And I just noticed the cut of the black coroplast. Really nice, smooth, curved lines; it almost reminds me of a grand piano! Great!
Yup - the hayracks/haystacks are just bend grids attached to the grids with paperclips. Marble (at back of pic) is a real hayracker - she even got into my special piggy-proofed version - so the haystack had to be the answer! So far, so good!
The megazorb is more usually a horse bedding in the UK, we can only buy 10l bags of carefresh - that cost @ £2.99. I can buy a 75l sack of megazorb for £5.99 - so it has financial benefits too!
im putting my whole 2nd level into a kitchen as well
cuz then normaly my pigs make a mess with there food so there whole floor up there will be food thanks to the pigs lol
i like your cage as well, very roomie
