Hi!

I weighed my guinea pigs today.

The older one is 814 grams (thats 28.713 Ounces)
and
The younger one is 791 grams (thats 27.902 Ounces)

The older one is 2 years and 10 months.
The Younger one is 2 years and 8 months.

Is this a good weight for them, or are they too heavey, or too light?

Thanks! lol

Are they male or female, that makes a difference.

Different guinea pigs will have different normal weights. The best thing is to weigh them weekly and keep track.

I would based on the guinealynx weight guide (it's just a guide, like foggycreekcavy says all guinea pigs will have different average weights) that they sound on the light side for their age, even if they are females.

My females are only 6-7 months old, and weigh in the same area as your pigs. The guinealynx guide says on average a female would be between 700-900 grams, and males 900-1200 grams. These are not set in stone, and obviously, there are pigs that don't fit this guideline that are still healthy. It's okay to be over, and okay to be under.
