i have an adult male and a baby GP. they are both on oxbow. baby pig gets performance and adult gets cuisine. i have been just mixing the 2 together and having them both eat it. but i want to make sure baby gets his "baby food", & adult gets his big pig food. how do you guys feed your babies and adults together? should i separate them at feeding time?

Actually, mixing it together is fine. It won't hurt the adult to get some alfalfa based pellets and it won't hurt the baby to get timothy based. If you are worried about too much calcium from the pellets, just give loads of Timothy hay and enough vegetables.

Why do babies need alfafa hay? Will only Timothy hay be ok?

But won't too much of Calcium cause kidney stones or other complications? If that's true... how much Alfafa hay should be put then?

if you can you give them alfalfa hay and pellets. Once they are over 8 months you take them off of alfafa and give them timothy. I mix timothy and alfalfa because i have a younger and older male.
