i have 4 guinea pigs and i think tinkerbell is pregnant AGAIN anyway what is sum good cheap food i can buy them cuz they seem to eat LOTS and lots and there food cost so much or maybe its just the pet store i go 2 cuz i see sum people have like 10 guinea pigs and they seem to not have any problems with food

It may be better if you post this in cavy chat. Are you talking about pellets?

I buy my food at a feed store. They have 25 and 50 pound bages for a lot cheaper than anything else I can find. I have five pigs and my mom threatened to get rid of them unless I found a cheaper way to feed them all.You could also buy your hay by the bale if you havesomewhere to store it.

How did the sow get pregnant? I don't think it's right to compromise care in any way. If you can't take care of them, you shouldn't have cavies. I'm really sorry this is coming off as blunt but I couldn't think of another way to say this.

How did she get pregnant AGAIN? Are you keeping her with boars? Is she unaltered?

no but during the day i let them all run around and play and i am still gonna care for my piggies and feed them and if i can find a cheaper way of feeding them then i will keeps buyin the food i do no and thank you i will try buy the 20 or 50 lb bags i have heard that is alot cheaper then buyin alot of the lil 5 lbs bads

You shoudent let unaltered pigs run around with each other. They could get pregnant in the blink of an eye.

Seperate them, even during floor time. Also, seperate your words with PUNCTUATION please

You can separate a boar and a sow the moment the boar mounts her and she can still get pregnant. I advise you keep them apart unless they're altered, and get the sow a friend of the SAME sex for floor time. Unless you wish to risk her life again.

yeah please. I made the same mistake that you did awhile back and she had three. I was watching but all it takes is one blink of an eye your screwed.

I agree with mncavylover. Your putting the sow's life in jeopardy by her getting pregnant again and again. and ur buying cheap crappy food for them? i dont think you should have guinea pigs at all.

immortalfairy you aren't being a responsible owner at all!

How are you going to afford to feed all the babies you're going to be having?

That means they're together. Obviously they are going to make babies. Separation means totally, not just when they are in their cages. Please do not do this again. Read www.cavyspirit.com/breeding.htm.

The only food that I trust is Oxbow. Many will agree that this is the only truly safe food on the market. See for yourself at (broken link removed). Thanks.
