I have 2 girls right now and I want to add a third at some point in time. I know that when I do that I have to do a 3 week quarantine before I introduce them, but does it have to be a closed door quarantine? I have other rooms that I can place the new one in but because of our house doors are often hard to close or open and they get stuck, or there are just entryways with no doors at all, and some rooms have to be open for accessibility for our other pets. So would I be okay with doing the quarantine in another room with the doors open or does it absolutely have to be closed door?

Closed door is better, but if you can't, you can't. But do put her in another room, and always go from caring for your existing pig to the new one rather than the other way around. It also helps to have a shirt or smock to wear when caring for the new one, and then leave it in the room so you don't carry organisms to the rest of the house.
