Fresh Food My vet told me lettuce is not a good food for guinea pig...is it true?

He said I should feed them vegetables that are "dark green" color, he told me vegetables that are "light green" or "white" don't have a lot of vitamin C, they are mostly water without any nutrition, is that true??Thanks ^_^

Green or Red Leaf and Romaine Lettuce have always been good choices of vegetables for pigs. I've only ever heard of Ice Berg being bad because it doesn't have any nutritional value. I don't know if I would really trust that vet... Plus darker green vegetables like spinach or parsley tend to be higher in calcium which can cause bladder stones, they can also cause gas. So tell me if I'm wrong but as far as I know that isn't good advice.
