How scary!!! I'm so glad that the poor piggie was okay. We have a hay bag but it has no grommets. I know our piggies stick their heads all the way in there when eating hay. I even found a baby inside the hay bag this morning.

This same thing happened to me. I had a hay bag with grommets and one of my pigs got stuck in it. She wasn't moving and I thought she was dead. We had to cut her out of the bag, luckily she was ok. Don't know how long she was there or how long she struggled to get out. I still use hay bags but now with just the sewn openings so it is more pliable for them to get in and out of.

I sent a message to https://shop.guineapigsaustralia.com.au/ about this (they were selling it) and I got a lovely message back saying that they had removed it from the store and had notified the manufacturer. Very relieved.

They didn't find it in the hay. It's part of the hay bag.
