How do I remove the scab?If you put pressure on the area and stuff oozes out, then that's pus. Sometimes when a scab is removed there will be pus underneath, which is why I suggest trying to remove the scabs gently with a warm wet cloth.
It doesn't look infected to me, although it should have healed by now if it happened a couple of weeks ago.
I took off one scab. No puss. sorry for the poor pictures. She's a little crankyI wet a washcloth or rag with warm water, then hold it on the scab until it softens. At this point the scab can be gently wiped off. If it doesn't seem like it wants to come off, then just leave it on--it's not ready to come off.
Okay thank you!! Did your pig ever get a (what looks like) an infected cut?Haha, I bet she is!
Looks okay to me. Check it again in the morning.
